This Privacy Policy explains how Scholarship Finder (“Scholarship Finder,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information through the Scholarship Finder mobile application and findscholarshipsnow.com.
The app may allow you to enter profile information such as age, state, education interests, student type, and goals. You may also save scholarships, application status, notes, and reminder dates. Do not enter highly sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, passwords, or medical information.
Core profile, saved-scholarship, application-tracking, and preference information is currently designed to be stored locally on your device. No account is currently required for these core features. Information stored locally may be removed if you delete the app, erase your device, or restore the device without the relevant app data.
If you choose to create deadline reminders, the app may request permission to send local notifications. You can decline or later disable notifications in iOS Settings. Notification permission should be requested in context when you choose a reminder-related feature.
The app may use internet access to open official scholarship-provider websites, support pages, legal pages, or future scholarship updates. External websites are governed by their own privacy policies and practices. We are not responsible for third-party websites.
Scholarship records may include information obtained from publicly available or official provider sources and original editorial summaries. Scholarship details can change. Always verify eligibility, deadlines, award amounts, and application requirements with the provider.
The app may provide automated or AI-assisted educational guidance, such as planning suggestions, prioritization, and brainstorming. These features are informational only and may be incomplete or inaccurate. They do not guarantee eligibility, selection, funding, admission, or application success. If future AI features transmit information to an external service, this policy and in-app disclosures will be updated before that processing is introduced.
Scholarship Finder does not currently use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. If analytics or diagnostic services are added later, we will update this policy and applicable App Store privacy disclosures.
If you contact us by email or submit a Squarespace form, we receive the information you provide, such as your name, email address, topic, and message. Squarespace and your email provider may process this information according to their own policies.
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or to service providers that help operate the website or support communications, subject to appropriate obligations.
Locally stored app information remains on the device until you delete it, reset app data where available, or remove the app. Support communications may be retained as reasonably necessary to answer requests, maintain records, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the service. No device, website, storage method, or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Scholarship Finder is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the app or website. Educational eligibility and legal requirements may vary by location.
You can choose what information to enter, delete locally stored app information using available app controls or by deleting the app, disable notifications in iOS Settings, and avoid contacting us by email or form.
We may update this policy as the app, website, legal requirements, or service providers change. The effective date will be revised when changes are posted.
